"Maktesh – Ancient Erosion Craters"

A maktesh is a geological landform considered unique to the Negev desert of Israel. The largest of the craters is known as Makhtesh Ramon. It is about 40 kilometres long, 2 – 10 kilometres wide and 500 metres deep.
