"60th Anniversary Series of the Enforcement of the Local Autonomy Saitama Prefecture"

  1. Portrait of Shibusawa Eiichi (1840-1931 / father of Japanese capitalism) and Toki no Kane (The bell at the time) in the city of Kawagoe. The tower was originally built during 1627-1634. The current tower was built 1894.
  2. Saitama stadium 2002, located in in Midori-ku, Saitama.
  3. Chichibu Night Festival. It is held every year on December 2nd and 3rd, with the main action taking place on the 3rd.
  4. Kangiin Syoutendo. The Menuma Shodenzan Kangiin Temple in Kumagaya is regarded as one of the three greatest temples enshrining Nandikesvara (Ganesh in the Buddhist pantheon) and, is also called "Saitama Nikko".
  5. Sakitama Ancient tomb group.

Nagatoro River, (highest summit in the background left is Mt. Fudo-san 549 m. The Nagatoro River is well known for its rapids and whitewater rafting and boating, and the entire town is designated as a prefectural nature park and preserve.
