"Ernest Shackleton Endurance Expedition"

Sir Ernest Shackleton's Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition left Plymouth in August 1914, hoping to be the first to successfully cross Antarctica. This extraordinary voyage was recorded by photographer Frank Hurley whose evocative images are featured in this set of stamps.
