A stated goal of Austrian post is to increase the presence of the postage stamp in daily life. These new measures, which are reflected in particular in the post offices, all ahead following news: the previous automatic OPAL stickers will be replaced by the so-called "dispenser stamps".
These new coil stamps (dispenser stamps) are now used for the general mail. At the beginning there are four motifs with Austrian background, each with its own nominal value: building/architecture (80/Dürnstein), attraction (125 / Schafbergbahn in the Salzkammergut Mountains), tradition (68/coffee house), landscape (250/Dachstein). These motifs were designed by the Austrian Illustrator Roland Vorlaufer. According Austria Post, in January 2018, all Austrian post offices are using the new Dispenser Coil stamps.
stamps: self-adhesive, at regular intervals, a control number is printed on the support film.
