The Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, is a large sandstone rock formation and situated in the southern part of the Northern Territory. It is together with the Katja Tjuta a major landmark in the Uluru-Kata-Tjuta-Nationalpark (formerly Ayers-Rock-Nationalpark).
