The Goldberg Group is a sub-group of the Hohe Tauern. The highest summits are the Hocharn (3'254 m), Schareck (3'123 m), Grieswies-Schwarzkogel (3'116 m) and Hoher Sonnblick (3'106 m).
The Goldberg Group borders in the north to the Salzburg Slate Alps, in the east to the Ankogel Group, in the south to the Kreuzegg Group and in the west to the Schober Group & Glockner Group.
