Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bosnia and Herzegovina issued its own stamps from 1879 to 1918, when it was ruled by the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. In the year 1918 Bosnia and Herzogewina became a part of Yugoslavia and used Yugoslav postage stamps until the independence in 1993.

The Independence of Bosnia and Herzegowina resulted in 3 separate postal administrations: the BH Posta in Sarajevo, the Croat administration in Mostar and the Serbian administration in Banja Luka.
