The Gongga Shan, also known as Minya Konka, is the highest mountain in the Sichuan Province.
It is situated in the Daxue Shan mountain range. It is the easternmost 7'000 m peak in the world. It is after the Tichir Mir (7'708 m, Hindu Kush/Pakistan) and the Kongur (7'645 m, Pamir/China) the third highest peak outside the Himalaya/Karakoram Range.
