The Heng Shan is situated in the Hunyuan County of the Shanxi Province.
(do not be confused, there in an other mountain named as Heng Shan with existing postage stamps in Hunan Province)
It is the "Northern Great Mountain" of "The Five Great Mountains".
It has an elevation of 2'017 metres. It is famous for the Hanging Temple, built about 1500 years ago, at 76 metres above the ground.
