The Shennongjia Forestry District consists of a group of mountains and hills in the western part of the Hubei Province. It forms the western and highest part of the Daba mountains. Its highest peak is the Shennong Deng (3'105 m). Other peaks are Da Shennongjia (3'052 m) and Xiao Shennongjia (3'005 m). Within the Shennongjia Forestry District are 31 peaks higher than 2'500 metres.
