Tangwangjiao Mountain

The Tangwangjiao Mountain, a branch of the Taihang Mountains, is located about 100 kilometres to the west of Handan City (Hebei Province). The mountain is famous for the Wahuang Palace (36°38'36.69"N 113°37'1.27"E), which towers on the summit area of the mountain. It was first constructed in the 6thcentury and known as the earliest and largest ancient building used to enshrine Goddess Nuwa of ancient times.

The main Wahuang Palace is situated on the right side of the mountain. It is four storey high. The whole structure of 135 houses was built along the contour of the mountain.
