The Yandang Shan is situated in Yueqing County (Wenzhou City) in the Zhejiang Province. In Chinese, Yandang means "reed marsh for wild geese". It is famous for its magnificent peaks, waterfalls and caves. The Yandang Shan has been named as a World Geopark by the UNESCO in 2005. It covers an area of 450 square kilometres.
The Yandang Shan is composed of eight scenic areas, the most famous of them are the Three Best Wonders: the Spiritual Peaks, the Big Dragon Waterfall and the Spiritual Rocks.

The 197 metres high Big Dragon Waterfall drops into the Dalongqiu Pond. It is located (28°21'26.18"N 121° 2'35.56"E).

Xiansheng Men Gate is "Stone Gate" formed by the two cliffs facing each other and is also known as "Fairy Sheng Men Gate" at the same time. The gate is of 200 meters high and approximately 10 meters wide.

Yandangshan has many ancient caves used for worshipping Buddha in the past. Guanyin Cave and Beidou Cave are the most well-known ones. It is located in the Lingfeng Peak Scenic Area. In the old time, because its cave gate faced Fuhu Peak, was called "Fuhu Cave".
