The Cerro de las Tres Cruces is situated in the west of the city Cali in the Cordillera Occidental. Cali is the capital city of the department Valle del Cauca. In the year 1937 there was built on the Cerro de las Tres Cruces a monument, known as the three crosses. The middle has a hight of 26 metres and the span of its arms is 11 metres. The two other crosses are 22 metres high and the span of their arms is 8 metres.
The myth says that these crosses are there to protect the city from the evils of "Buziraco" (Demon announced by Spanish to ruin Cali). Maybe that's why Easter is very common to see people going up the hill to do penance.
