Paklenica Nationalpark

The Paklenica Canyons (Mala and Velika Paklenica) are situated 30 kilometres in the northeast of Zadar. The larger of the two Canyons is about 14 kilometres long and 500 - 800 metres wide. The cliffs rise above both sides of the canyon up to a height of over 700 metres. It is part of the Velebit mountain massif.

Paklenica was declared as a national park in the year 1949. It covers an area of 95 square kilometres. Paklenica canyon nationalpark stamp 2012
