The Salto de Rio Grande is located about 5 kilometres in the north of the small town Estebanía, within the Parque Nacional Francisco Alberto Caamaño Deño.
The park was created to conserve the only portion of the Central Mountain Range that reaches the Caribbean Sea, where a highly specialized biodiversity is found. Different elevations provide breath-taking views of the Ocoa Bay and Caracoles Beach, beautiful scenery, historical and eco-tourism enclaves of the Province of Azua de Compostela.
Dominican Republic 2015, Salto del Rio Grande.
The stamp was issued in the series "Nationalparks of the Dominican Republic".
