The Vercors is a mountain range located in the south-west of Grenoble.  Its higest peak is Le Grand Veymont 2’341 m.

Other peaks: La Grande Moucherolle (2'284 m), La Petite Moucherolle (2’156 m), Les Arêtes du Gerbier ( 2’109 m) Roc Cornafion (2’049 m), Le Sommet de Malaval (2’097 m), Le Mont Aiguille (2’086 m), Les Rochers de la Balme (2’063 m), Le Dôme ou Pié Ferré (2’041 m), La Tête des Chaudières (2’029 m), Le Pic Saint-Michel 1’966 m, Le Moucherotte (1’901 m).

Ski jumping hill, Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte hosted the ski jumping individual large hill event for the 1968 Winter Olympics. The Ski jumping hill is located in the northern slopes of Mont Moucherotte.

 The Choranche cave is situated near Choranche village in the Vercors mountain range.
The main cave was discovered in 1875 by the inhabitants of the village of Choranche, which lies just below.
