Tahiti

Tahiti is a part of Windward Islands (Îles du Vent), of the Society Islands of French Polynesia.

Tahiti is the largest island of the Windward islands and covers a area of 1'145 sq km. Its highest peak is Mount Ohorena 2'241 m.

This joint issue with Pitcairn Island called "The vahine of the Bounty" (vahine: means a woman of Central Polynesia) illustrates the evening of celebration where the twelve vahine and little Sully went on the Bounty that wet in Matavai Bay on the north coast of Tahiti.
