The Lopé-Okanda National Park is located in central Gabon and covers an area of 4'912 square kilometres. It became the first protected area in Gabon when the Lopé-Okanda Wildlife Reserve was created in 1946. Ecosystem and Relict Cultural Landscape of Lopé-Okanda is an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007.
