The about 70 kilometres long Tasermiut Fjord is located in southwestern Greenland. The mountainous fjord is a famous climbing area, well known for its challenging rock faces.
The stamps shows a view from the Tasermiut Fjord towards the wall of the Nalumasortoq (2'045 m). The huge rock wall marks the end of a small valley between the famous climbing peaks Ketil I (2'010 m) and Ulamertorssuaq (1'858 m), not visible on the stamp.
The stamp shows the Sermeq Glacier at the end of the Tasermiut Fjord. The mountain peak (right) is called "Sermitsiaap qaqqaa" what means "the Glaciers Mountain".
