The Sandan Falls (Sandan-no-taki) of the Shibaki River is an about 30 metres high tripple stepped waterfall in the West-Chugoku Mountain Quasi-National Park. It is situated in the 16 kilometres long Sandan Valley (Sandan-kyo), about 4 kilometres in the southeast of the Lake Hijiri and about 5 kilometres in the southwest of Mt. Shinnyu.

The Sandan Falls is the most famous in the valley, but there is actually a number of waterfalls besides this within the area, for example the Mitsudaki Falls (quintupled-stepped fall) and the Nidandaki Falls (double-stepped fall).
