The Shikotsu-Toya Nationalpark is situated in the south of Sapporo on southwestern Hokkaido. It is named after the caldera lakes Toya and Shikotsu and covers a total area of 993.02 square kilometres. 

The Nationalpark is divided into 5 sub-areas:

 Area around the Yotei Volcano.
Area of Toya Caldera Lake with Usu Volcano and Showa Shinzan.
Area around Lake Kuttarako.
Area of Shikotsu Caldera Lake with the volcanoes Eniwa, Fuppushi and Tarumae.
Area of the Jozankei Gorge and Takayama Gorge.
