Chungjuho Lake is one of the largest lakes in South Korea. It is an artificial lake, which was formed by blocking the valley between Jongmin-dong and Dongnyang-myeon by an 447 meters long and 97.5 meters high dam. The resulting lake, surrounded by Mt. Woraksan National Park, Mt. Geumsusan, Gudambong Peak and other summits, is 6'648 square kilometers in area and is bordered by Chungju, Jecheon and Danyang cities.
