The Pakyon Waterfall is situated (38° 5'27.51"N 126°34'23.67"E) around 25 kilometres in the north of Kaesong city (Korea North). The waterfall is 37 metres in height and drops into an 8 metre wide round pool called Pakyon.

Pakyon Popko is an Korean folk song, it is so called because it begins with that phrase, which is the name of the Pakyon waterfall in Hwanghoe province (North Korea), but Kaesong (a city in Hwanghoe province) Nanbongga (a playboy song) is the formal title of the song.
