Bill Tilman

Harold William "Bill" Tilman (14 February 1898–1977) was an English mountaineer and explorer, renowned for his Himalayan climbs and sailing voyages. He was member of two of the 1930s Mount Everest expeditions and made in the year 1936 together with Noel Odell the first ascent of Nanda Devi (7'816 m) in India.
