The Waterberg (1'885 m) is a prominent table mountain, situated about 70 kilometres in the east of the city Otjiwarango. The plateau of the Waterberg rises about 200 metres above the surrounding terrain and covers a huge area of 405 square kilometres. The slightly higher Klein Waterberg (1'930 m / but much smaler in area) is part of the Waterberg Massiv. The two mountains are divided by the "Pforte von Omuverume".
