Nepal Jannu map

The Jannu, also known as Kumbhakarna or Phoktanglungma, is ranked as the 32th highest mountain on the world.

It is situated in the Kangchenjunga Himal and is connected with a long ridge to the Kangchenjunga in the east.

First ascent: 28.04.1962 by a French expedition ( Robert Paragot, Paul Kellar, RenĂ© Desmaison and Sherpa Gyalzen Mitchu). 

Jean Ravier, Lionel Terray and Sherpa Wangdi reached the summit one day later on April 29th.
