The Ziarat Juniper Forest is located in Ziarat District (Balochistan) and is the home of the largest area of juniper forest (juniperus excelsa polycarpus) in Pakistan, covering about 110 000 ha in the mountain zone with an elevation ranging from 1'200 to 3'500 metres. It was declared as a Biosphere Reserve in 2013.

The stamp shows a view from a point, known as Prospect Point (30°21'4.25"N 67°44'31.35"E) towards the Koshki valley below in the south-east. Prospect point, called Nari Sar by locals, is located about 6 km from Ziarat town at a height of 2'713 meters. The surrounding mountains are known as Khilifat Hills or Khilafat Hills (highest elevation 3'487 meters).
