The Bontebok National Park is the smallest of South Africa's National Parks and is covering an area of 27.86 square kilometres. It was established in 1931 to ensure the preservation of the Bontebok antelope. The National Park is located in the south of Swellendam in the foothills of the Langeberg Mountains.

Summits of the about 30 kilometres long Langeberg Ridge behind. They are known as Eenuurkop (1'322 m/left), Twaalfuurkop (1'426 m), Elfuurkop and Tienuurkop (1'195 m).
