Bromo Tengger Semeru Nationalpark

The Soutpansberg Mountains forms part of the 'Vhembe Biosphere Reserve', which was designated as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 2009. It stretches for about 130 kilometres from west to east and is the northernmost mountain range in South Africa. The range was named after the large salt pans that are located along the north western edge of the range. The Lajuma at 1'747 metres is the highest peak.
