The Swiss Nationalpark was founded in the year 1914 and is the oldest Nationalpark within the European Alps. It covers an area of 174.2 square kilometres and is located in the east of Switzerland between Zernez, S-chanf, Scuol and the Fuorn Pass in the Engadin valley and the border to Italy.

The three stamps are showing a panoramic view from the Alp Buffalora on the Fuorn Pass (german: Ofen Pass) towards Piz Nair (3'010 m). The summit at the left is known as Piz Murters (3'012 m) and the summit at the right behind the clouds is Piz Tavrü (3'167 m).
