The Queen Elisabeth National Park in Uganda is located within the Albertine Rift Valley. It covers an area of 1'982 square kilometres. At clear days the park offers views towards the Rwenzori Mountains, the park’s magnificent vistas include dozens of enormous craters. The Katwe Craters are a cluster of ten crater lakes formed from extinct volcanoes and some of them are filled with water.
