The Pongour Falls are located more than 50 kilometers south of Dalat city (11°41'16.52"N 108°15'54.01"E). The falls were once considered as the most majestic natural treasure in the southwest highlands jungle. It was about 40 metres high and 100 metres wide.
The Pongour Falls have began drying up since 2008, as some kilometres upstream a dam across the Da Nhim River was completed for the nearby Dai Ninh hydropower plant.
